Hawai'i in the Age of AI: Opportunities, Risks, and Choices
This is not an IT conference! Repeat. This is not an IT conference! Instead, it is answer the following question: How should Hawai'i prepare for a world transformed by AI. It will ask participants what the world will look in 2035 and how Hawai'i will need to adapt.
Like it or not, artificial intelligence is likely to be one of the most transformative technologies in generations. AI capabilities are accelerating rapidly. Since LLMs became widely available in 2022 with the launch of ChatGPT, advances have met or surpassed some of the most aggressive forecasts. The economy that exists in 2035 is likely to be very different from the one that exists today.
